1,000-Armed Chenrezig

This is the 1,000-Armed Chenrezig in the middle and on top is his teacher Yupame with Khandum. Then from the left top (going clockwise) Norguma, White Tara, Ma Pemo at bottom and her teacher Lama Jope. Bottom is Tandin, who is on fire. Ma Pemo was an anim who got leprosy, but because of this they made her leave her Shedra. Then she decided to do pilgrimage and she tried to go to a Chenrezig temple in Tashigang, but she got sicker and failed. She was so pure that the temple turned around and came to her. This is our Bhutanese teaching.

Just now I have a few commissions, so I am going to go back to my traditional painting for some time. I will do a large Medicine Buddha, Chamma with tiger, and Chana Dorji. These will keep my busy for a while, and I will do some nice pictures of the painting on this website. The Medicine Buddha will be maybe 7 feet tall. I am very happy about this as I like to paint big for temple walls.

this thangka is 40.5 x 28", pigment and gold on canvas.

Lucky Sign

I didn't paint this. We saw this sign in a bar in Nashville. I would make it look cleaner. But it is the right idea. I am thinking about this for a victory banner maybe. I want to paint new lucky signs. I got this idea. We had a nice time in New York, but we didn't stay long. Then it was fun to be in Nashville. Our cat was angry we left.
